Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive housekeeping experience within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing housekeeping teams, supervisors, and day-to-day operations in a large, fast-paced property.
• Health & Safety, WHMIS, and Joint Health & Safety Committee certification considered an asset.
• Demonstrated leadership, management and team building skills; strong organizational and guest service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between Hotel Manager, Environmental Services, and Housekeeping leadership to align operational priorities.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and accountability for compliance with policies, health and safety, and procedures.
• Coach, mentor, and support Supervisors through performance management and development.
• Oversee housekeeping operations and administration, planning, organizing, and budgeting as needed.
• Develop and monitor departmental controls and operating practices to meet standards and regulations.
• Utilize metrics and QA programs to drive performance and guest experience improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping inventory and manage budget and purchasing procedures.

This includes planning, organizing, and overseeing the housekeeping operation and administration* Supporting Front Office Supervisors when needed and understanding processes* Leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental controls and operating practices to meet and exceed regulatory and operational standards* Utilizing operational metrics and quality assurance programs to drive performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and enhance the overall guest experience* Maintaining Housekeeping inventory by requesting purchase orders following strict purchasing procedures. Review and maintain Hotel Housekeeping budget* Ensuring guests are provided with the highest level of service; making decisions pertaining to the betterment of the guest’s experience* Builds company reputation through earning trust and loyalty of guests.
