Job summary

Ocean Village Beach Resort in British Columbia is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations on-site and uphold the resort’s high guest-service standards.

You will plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping staff, hire and dismiss team members, ensure safety and sanitation compliance, supervise maintenance and laundry tasks, and respond to guest concerns to maintain a spotless, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or an equivalent experience.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• On-site work requirement.

Responsibilities

• Establish operational procedures
• Implement operational procedures preventing infection in special situations and outbreaks
• Select and purchase equipment and supplies
• Plan and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews
• Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas
• Supervise staff
• Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
• Supervise maintenance and repair services
• Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services
• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms
• Supervise in-house laundry services
• Co-ordinate in-house laundry services
• Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff
• Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
• Hire and dismiss staff
• Respond to complaints of guests
