Job summary

Oliverbonacini is seeking an enthusiastic Host to welcome guests, seat them promptly, and manage seating logistics. You will coordinate with front of house and back of house teams to ensure smooth guest flow and a welcoming entrance area.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a hospitality mindset, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A valid Smart Serve certification is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host or guest-facing hospitality role is an asset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Calm under pressure, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
• Valid Smart Serve Certification Required.
• Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional, and timely manner.
• Manage reservations and walk-in traffic using OpenTable.
• Monitor table rotation and coordinate with Front Of House and Back Of House teams to optimize guest flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area.
• Answer guest inquiries and assist with special requests, wait times, or accommodations.
• Support the overall guest experience with a friendly and attentive approach.
• Assist with bussing tables and support the team by running food and beverages as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Under the direction of the Front of House Management Team, our Hosts create a positive guest experience that begins with a proper greeting. They maintain an efficient and organized restaurant through managing guest flow, maximizing seating capacity and communicating with all employees. Hosts leave a lasting impression with all guests through their professionalism and attention to detail.

The day to day:
