Job summary

William Osler Health System in Ontario seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to join Speech Therapy Corporate. The role covers dysphagia assessment and management, communication screening, and inter-professional collaboration across multiple sites.

The position is part-time with days/evenings, 8-hour shifts, and a casual employment type, reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, Professional Practitioner. Travel between Osler sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy; Meditech experience is an asset.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
• Experience with videofluoroscopy is an asset.
• Experience with tracheostomies is an asset.

• May travel between Osler sites.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and management of dysphagia using clinical and instrumental assessment.
• Communication and screening/assessment and management.
• Providing education, resources and referral to patients and families in a clear and accessible manner.
• Completing assessments and relays findings to patients, families and inter-professional teams in a timely manner to facilitate access and flow.
• Participating as part of the speech-language pathology team, attending meetings and education sessions where required.
