Job summary

William Osler Health System in Ontario is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and manage dysphagia, provide education to patients and families, and collaborate with inter-professional teams. This role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, registration in good standing, and strong communication skills.

Travel between Osler sites may be required. The position offers hours including days/evenings with weekends and statutory holidays, with a pay rate of $47.07–$61.01 per

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Registered in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy; Meditech experience is an asset.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
• Videofluoroscopy experience is an asset.
• Experience with tracheostomies is an asset.
• Demonstrates Osler's values in daily work.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record.
• May travel between Osler sites.

Responsibilities

Job Description

This position will report to the Clinical Services Manager, Professional Practitioner.

Accountabilities

• Assessment and management of dysphagia using clinical and instrumental assessment
• Communication and screening/assessment and management
• Providing education, resources and referral to patients and families in a clear and accessible manner
• Completing assessments and relays findings to patients, families and inter-professional teams in a timely manner to facilitate access and flow
• Participating as part of the speech-language pathology team, attending meetings and education sessions where required

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy; experience with Meditech an asset
