Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Elgin County, St. Thomas on a part-time basis.

The role involves assessing clients’ speech, language, and swallowing, and collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to plan and deliver care in home and clinic settings. The successful candidate must hold active SLP registration in Ontario, have a valid G2 license, access to a vehicle, and be able to work a flexible schedule while maintaining high practice standards.

Qualifications

• Current active registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
• Have a valid G2/G Driving License and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
• Ability to assess speech, language, communication and swallowing, and related factors.
• Knowledge of legislation, reflective practice, regulations and policies applicable to practice.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of the client’s speech, language, communication and swallowing, and the factors that affect them.
• Informs the Case Manager of client goals/progress/status through written reports, individual discussions, or case conferences.
• Be able to work within a flexible schedule and adaptable environment.
