Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Nutrition Services leader to oversee Food Service operations in a 1.0 FTE in-person role. The position requires a Baccalaureate in Food and Nutrition and an accredited Dietetic Internship, with at least three years in food service management.

Strong leadership, safety, and regulatory knowledge are essential. The successful candidate will lead staff, ensure safe handling of foods, and implement policies aligned with government health standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience in Food Service Operations with demonstrated management and purchasing/receiving skills.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety and LEAN methodology is an asset.
  • Able to demonstrate interpersonal communication, organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of CBORD, ESP, & SAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures that meet health standards.
  • Oversee safe receiving, storage, and handling of food and supplies.
  • Lead a team in nutrition and food service operations and manage inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency contingency plans.
