Baycrest Hospital is seeking a Manager, Food and Nutrition Services Production & Procurement to lead Production, Procurement, Passover and Ingredient Control, ensuring high-quality client-centered food services. You will partner with the Program Director, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement across safety, nutrition and service delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor degree or Red Seal, advanced food safety certification, CSNM membership, and at least five years in healthcare food

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree or diploma in Food and Nutrition; Red Seal acceptable.
• Advanced Food Safety Certification required.
• CSNM membership required.
• Minimum five years’ experience in managing a large volume food production and purchasing in a healthcare facility.
• Experience in managing union/non-union staff in a unionized environment.
• Purchasing/Procurement experience required.
• Experience in kosher establishment preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Computrition/Meditech preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide leadership and oversight for Production, Procurement, Passover, and Ingredient Control operations, ensuring high-quality, client-centered services.
• Partner with the Program Director to develop, implement and achieve departmental objectives.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis and ensure resource stewardship.
• Collaborate with Finance to align with budget targets and goals.
• Oversee quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Kashrut laws and respect diverse cultural needs.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation and regulatory standards.
• Develop seasonal menus and concepts for Apotex, Hospital, Frozen Meal Program, and Day Center; consider texture modified and therapeutic needs.
• Source quality menu items with vendors and ensure adherence to contracts.
• Provide mentoring and feedback to manage conflicts and improve performance.
• Lead staff to maintain a cohesive Food Services team.
• Ensure compliance with collective agreements.
• Perform duties in line with Baycrest policies and protocols.
