ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is seeking a compassionate Home Companion to assist seniors in Campbellville and Milton, ON. The role focuses on companionship, daily living support, and coordinating with the care team to monitor well-being.

Ideal candidates demonstrate genuine care for seniors, reliable communication, and a responsible, empathetic approach. Training is provided, and the position supports in-home services within the Halton region.

• Monitor and report changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the care team.
• Engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
• Provide respite support to family caregivers as needed.
• Maintain accurate client care records and documentation in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes, fostering trust and positive relationships

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a caregiving, companion care, or personal support role is an asset
• Genuine passion for working with seniors and elderly individuals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional attitude
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle considered an asset
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening required
