Job summary

Eckville Farm Centre in Eckville, Alberta is seeking a temporary part-time Yard Attendant to deliver outstanding customer service and support shipping, receiving, and order preparation. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a busy farm-centre setting.

Shifts are 24–36 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. The contract runs until about September 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Must provide an acceptable driver’s abstract upon hire.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Position:

Term:

Temporary contract until approximately September 30, 2026

Part-time:

24 – 36 hours per week.

Availability:

Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform shipping and receiving duties as required
• Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
• Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality
• Highly self-motivated
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Valid Class 3 Licence with Air brake endorsement is an asset
• Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
• Experience running a forklift is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;some heavy lifting is required
• Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permitto employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
