Job summary

Central Alberta Co-op is hiring a part-time Home Centre Associate for its Red Deer Home Centre. You’ll greet customers, answer questions, learn product details, and assist with merchandise and displays in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include cashier duties, processing sales, handling special orders, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean, safe work setting. Availability includes weekdays and weekends, mornings to evenings.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform light manual handling.
• 14 years old minimum; requires permit per Employment Standards.

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you excel in fast-paced environments? If so, Red Deer Home Centre presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're currently looking for Home Centre Associates to join our dynamic team.

Position: Home Centre Associate

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to customer questions
• Familiarize yourself with our product range
• Stay updated on new product details to ensure comprehensive product knowledge
• Cashier duties; Ensure accurate processing of sale transactions
• Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders and quotes
• Replenish shelves and contribute to inventory audits
• Assist in merchandise displays
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
