Job summary

ABB in Montreal, Canada is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform medium to high complexity service work on hoisting and industrial equipment. You will deliver exceptional customer service, troubleshoot complex issues, and identify opportunities to improve system performance while operating in a hybrid work model.

The role requires an Electrical Technology/Engineering background with 5+ years in industrial systems, travel across Canada/US/Mexico and internationally, and a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience supporting industrial systems.
• Experience with mine hoist systems is considered a strong asset.
• Strong customer focus, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and deliver technical reports and presentations.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary service environment.
• Valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel within Canada, the United States, Mexico, and internationally as required.

• Deliver field service activities safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectation's.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues on hoisting and industrial equipment.
• Plan and prepare service work, ensuring the availability of required materials, parts, and tools.
• Build strong customer relationships by providing excellent service and clear communication throughout project execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and customer operation's
• Lead and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance at customer sites.
• Support business growth by identifying service and upgrade opportunities within the installed base.
• Coach and provide technical guidance to technicians, engineers, and customers, while supporting training and certification activities.
