Job summary

Chartright Air Group is seeking an experienced helicopter pilot to join as Bell 429 Captain based in Halifax (YHZ). Lead high-standard flights, ensure safety and client satisfaction in a premium, client-focused environment.

Ideal candidate brings 2500+ total hours, 1000+ multi-engine PIC hours, and top-tier instrument and regulatory qualifications. This role offers growth with a growing aviation team and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience as PIC on a helicopter, preferably Bell 429.
  • ICAO/EASA/Canadian aviation standards knowledge.
  • Strong safety, leadership and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as Pilot-in-Command on a Bell 429 from Halifax (YHZ).
  • Deliver premium client experience and build trust with high-value clients.
  • Collaborate with Flight Coordination Center and Sales to meet mission requirements.
  • Maintain operational readiness on reserve days and support flight operations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Role Overview

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced helicopter pilot who wants the best of both worlds: meaningful, high‑standard flying and true lifestyle balance. What You’ll Do
  • Operate as Pilot-in-Command on a Bell 429, based out of Halifax (YHZ), ensuring all flights are conducted with the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
  • Deliver a premium client experience, acting as the face of the company and building strong, trusted relationships with high‑value clientele.
  • Collaborate closely with the Flight Coordination Centre and Sales teams to ensure seamless execution of all mission requirements and service expectations.
  • Support operational readiness on reserve days, contributing to a reliable and responsive flight operation.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the operation.
What You Bring
  • Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License– Helicopteror Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
  • Group 4 Instrument Rating.
  • Valid Transport Canada MedicalCategory 1.
  • Canadian Radio Telephone License.
  • Minimum of 2500 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 1000 multi-engine PIC hours, turbine time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 60Ibs.
  • Hands‑on experience with flight management systems and glass cockpits.
  • Strong understanding of aviation weather, airport performance, flight plan calculations, fuel planningandweight and balance.
  • Expert knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and SMS safety practices.
  • Strong client service mindset with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to perform in a fast‑paced, flexible scheduling environment
