Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to inspect, service and repair a diverse fleet of heavy machinery in Brampton. The role requires hands-on expertise with diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, plus the ability to work overtime as needed.

You will maintain clean records of inspections and maintenance while mentoring apprentices and contributing to a safe shop environment. A Class G license and tool ownership are required.

• 5 years of mechanical experience on construction equipment.
• Valid Class G driver's license with clean abstract.

You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.* Must have own tools.* Available and willing to work over-time as needed.* Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.* Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.* Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.* Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.* Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.* Comfortable with computers (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.).* Physical stamina and ability to stand and bend for long periods of time.
