Suncor Energy is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Fort McMurray area (Mildred Lake or Aurora sites). You will operate haul trucks, shovels, dozers, grinders and other equipment in a safety‑driven mine environment.

The role requires 3+ years of equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and a strong safety mindset. Relocation and housing support are provided to eligible candidates, with a six on/ six off shift schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of heavy equipment experience operating cable or hydraulic shovels, excavators, dozers, graders or haul trucks.
• High School Diploma or GED, or 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a 2-year clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks, shovels, backhoes, dozers and graders as directed.
• Complete safety checks, walk-arounds and risk assessments.
• Train and mentor others; report repairs and incidents immediately.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
