Job summary

North American Construction Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Suncor mining site near Fort McMurray, AB. You will operate rigid-frame haul trucks and join a safety-focused, unionized team on a 14/14 rotation.

Qualifications

• Mining experience required operating rigid-frame haul trucks.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with recent abstract.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Pass pre-employment testing including Breath Alcohol, Urine Drug, Fitness-to-Work.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate rigid-frame haul trucks (CAT/Komatsu) at a mining site.
• Work on a 14/14 rotation transporting materials to and from site.

North American Construction Group is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators (Haul Truck) for their Suncor mining site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Operators will join a large, safety-focused team and work on a 14/14 rotation, transporting raw materials using various haul trucks. What You’ll Need

• Minimum one year experience in a mining environment operating rigid frame haul trucks (CAT/Komatsu 793, 830/930 experience an asset)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent Driver’s Abstract
• High School Diploma or GED (asset)
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
• Valid CSO or BSO (Energy Safety Canada)
• Silica Awareness, Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness, OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness, H2S Awareness, Field Ergonomics (Energy Safety Canada)
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing: Breath Alcohol, Urine Drug, Fitness-to-Work, Audiometric, Vision Screening, Criminal Record Check
