Job summary

WORKFORCE - Staffing Solutions in Ontario seeks a Crane Mechanic with 310T preference to join our small maintenance team. You will maintain and repair crane equipment, hydraulic systems, and truck-mounted rigs, after signing off on repairs.

The role offers a day shift Monday to Friday, with overtime; ideal for self-starters who can work with limited supervision and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Experience with cranes 0-500 tonnes preferred.
• Hydraulic systems experience preferred.
• Truck-mounted or boom truck crane experience is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on cranes 0-500 tonnes.
• Sign off on repairs for truck-mounted cranes.
• Maintain hydraulic systems: pumps, lines, hoses, brakes and electrical systems as needed.
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken English with team members.
• Work a 40-hour week, Mon-Fri, with overtime available.

Job description

We are seeking a mechanic with preference to licensed 310T.

The ideal candidate will have good hydraulics experience and can join our crane technician maintenance and repair team.

We are preferring someone within 1 hour drive from East Toronto (Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Markham are ideal).

The perfect candidate has boom truck crane experience and can sign off on the repairs done to the trucks,

also completing minor-intermediate maintenance on a variety of crane sizes from 0-500 tonnes.

There is no major overhaul work done in the shop,

ideally the hired person will be capable with hydraulic systems and maintaining/repairing pumps, lines, hoses as well as the brakes, electrical system,

and other components.

Generally you will work a 40 hour week day shift Mon-Fri (day shift, with overtime available).

Its a good fit for someone interested in working for a small to mid sized company along 2 other technicians.

Requirements

• 310T certified is preferred
• Minor to intermediate maintenance and repair experience with cranes between 0 and 500 tonnes is preferred
• Good experience with hydraulics-pumps, lines, hoses is ideal
• Truck-mounted equipment or boom truck crane experience a major asset
• Manitowoc or Grove brand experience beneficial
• Experience with Freightliner and Detroit Diesel truck equipment is valuable
• Self starter who can work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
