Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy trucks, trailers, and large outdoor machines like loaders, excavators and mowers.
• Test, fix, and service diesel engines, hydraulic systems, hoses and cylinders and electrical parts to reduce downtime during busy season.
• Repair mechanical transmissions, hydraulic transmissions & brake systems.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair required.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Service attachments and working tools.
• Order needed parts and keep a clean repair shop.
• Write down all work done and parts used.
