Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals in Brampton, Ontario is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Lube Technician to service and maintain our fleet on customer sites. You will perform cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and inspections on excavators, dozers, loaders, and other heavy gear under supervision.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus 1–3 years of relevant experience and a valid G-class driver's license.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• 1–3 years of mechanical experience on heavy equipment.
• Valid Class G driver's license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, lubricating, and preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipment on customer sites.
• Learn to use diagnostic tools and assist in troubleshooting/diagnosing equipment malfunctions and assist with repairs.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Assist with repairing and replacing damaged parts and components, ensuring manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a timely manner.
• Order parts and open/close purchase orders as required.
