Job summary

Clean Harbors in Corunna, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) to join our safety‑minded team. This union position will repair and perform preventative maintenance on our fleet, including dozers, excavators and rock trucks, often at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) or related experience.
• 3+ years’ experience as Offroad Technician/Mechanic with Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks.
• Hydraulics experience is an asset.
• Experience with vacuum trucks is an asset.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority; follow safe work practices and policies.
• Inspect equipment and identify required repairs; perform routine maintenance on fleet.
• Work independently on customer sites; document repairs and service actions.
• Disassemble, inspect, replace parts and complete warranty information.
• Complete repair orders and communicate servicing needs with Supervisor.

Clean Harbors Corunna, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic) to join their safety conscious team!

This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet (trucks, tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, etc)

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
• Work independently on customer sites often.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks).
• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Complete repair orders.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy-duty vehicles.Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
• Complete warranty information.
• Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
• Carry out housekeeping duties.
• Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Preferred Licensed/ Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic), or related experience and proficiency
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Offroad Technician/Mechanic with Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks.
• Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Ability to use diagnostic software
• Driver’s License required.
