Job summary

Finning is seeking a dedicated Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to support customers across Saskatchewan. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in shop or field settings, providing prompt service and safety compliance.

The role requires interprovincial journeyperson certification, a valid Class 5 license, and strong electrical, hydraulic and emissions system skills; field premiums and extensive benefits are offered. Shifts include 7x7 or 14x14 rotations.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification (Agriculture, Truck & Transport and Automotive will also be considered).
• Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems.
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience.
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing knowledge.
• Gas engine and power generation experience is an asset.
• Customer service experience would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations).
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Provide support with reference to on-site safety requirements and maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment.

Job Description

Specific Skills & Experience
