Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic (permanent position) to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar equipment. You will interact with customers and the service team, work with the Service Supervisor, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining our customer service standards.

Candidate must hold Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
  • Safety conscious team player with strong organization and communication skills
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
  • Experience with Lawson, SIS (Service Information System) and warranty systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment
  • Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the Finning team
  • Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks

Shift work may be required

Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement. Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
