Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a Kamloops shop, on a 7x7 continuous shift. The role requires Red Seal preferred and strong electrical, hydraulic and emissions systems experience, with additional asset in new equipment prep and mining/forestry experience.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification; Red Seal preferred.
• Strong experience in electrical, hydraulic and emissions systems.
• New equipment prep experience is an asset.
• Experience with construction, forestry and mining equipment is an asset.
• Engine or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial.
• Gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment.
• Prepare new equipment for customers and interface with customers, products and sales support.
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment and respond to customer needs promptly.
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment to determine required repairs.
• Provide safety-related support and adhere to on-site safety requirements.

Job Description

Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment. Experience with forestry, construction, mining and general line equipment is beneficial Preparing new equipment for customers Interface with customers, products and sales support Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
