Job summary

Finning Canada, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, seeks a Heavy Duty Mechanic based in the Grande Prairie area to perform field maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar engines and equipment. You must be safety-conscious, autonomous, and hold a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnostics, customer interaction, safety compliance, and completing technical reports in a field environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician.
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset.
• Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset.

Notes:

• Availability to occasionally work out of town for a week


• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
