Job summary

Finning Canada in Red Deer, Alberta, is seeking an apprentice to join the Power and Energy Field team at our Red Deer facility. The role is based in Red Deer with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Wage includes an hourly base rate of $45.14 plus a Field Premium of $2.25/hr, with paid vacation, sick and flex time, and additional benefits such as pension and purchase plans. The candidate will work toward Interprovincial Heavy Duty Certification and develop mechanical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Willing to work towards Interprovincial Heavy Duty Certification.
• Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma); Meet the requirements of article 5.02 of the Alberta Collective Agreement.
• Highly motivated and mechanically inclined.
• Strong assets will include: Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skills.
