Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in either a shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations)
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Provide support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr) required for field roles
• Demonstrated field troubleshooting skills on Caterpillar equipment required for field based positions
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems considered assets
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience is beneficial
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience considered an asset

Important Details

This position is based out of Edmonton, on a 7x7 Continuous Shift OR 5x2 (Monday to Friday). A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable.
