Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Supervisor Health Information Services to lead the development, coordination, and operation of its Health Information Services program at Brandon Regional Health Centre. You will supervise staff, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery of high-quality health information services.

The role requires CHIMA certification, HIM degree, and experience in high-volume acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Health Information Management program and CHIMA certification.
• Three years full-time experience in health information within the last five years.
• Experience with health information management practices in high-volume acute care environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and health information systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe administration and operation of Health Information Services.
• Provide leadership and expertise in Data Quality, Coding, Records Processing, Dictation/Transcription/Editing, Registration, and Switchboard operations.
• Monitor financial, human resources, equipment and environmental issues of Health Information Services.
• Contribute to policies and procedures related to Health Information Services.
• Plan for a sustainable program and develop professional staff.
