Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is hiring care professionals in Parksville, Canada. Provide compassionate in-home care, including meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care, following each client’s care plan with careful attention to safety and accuracy.

Opportunities exist for both part-time and full-time roles; in-home visits cover Parksville and nearby areas. Current TB Screen, a Criminal Record Check, and a valid driver’s license are required or strongly preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year caregiving experience.
• Must communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• BC Health Care Aide Certification is considered an asset.
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• First Aid and CPR Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure client safety and use equipment properly.
• Work within your experience while delivering safe, competent care.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Serve Parksville and surrounding areas.
• Over time, opportunities for both part-time and full-time hours are available.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service Parksville and surrounding areas
• Looking for all visit times – part-time and full-time opportunities available

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• BC Health Care Aide Certification is considered an asset
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
