Our client is looking for a full-time Application Delivery Manager – Human Capital Management:

Role: HCM Manager working in the SAP COE leading a team of 10 people
Reports to: Director of HR Solutions
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Calgary - Full-time onsite; open to candidates willing to relocate to Calgary; open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or those holding a Canadian work permit with more than 2 years remaining.
Compensation: Salary + Short Term Incentive + Long Term Incentive + Benefits.

Purpose of the Position:
The Application Delivery Manager for Human Capital Management, reporting to the Director HR Solutions in the SAP CoE, will lead a team of 10+ skilled IT professionals responsible for building and supporting HR applications in SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, and other platforms. The manager will drive projects to enhance current applications and lead the implementation of new technologies in SAP to support business performance targets.
Position Accountabilities:
- Lead the execution of the HCM technology roadmap in collaboration with IS, Enterprise Architecture, Business Transformation Partners, and stakeholders.
- Manage, develop, and coach IS team members, including cross-training and knowledge transfer, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery using IS PMO tools.
- Handle administrative activities such as cost estimation, status reporting, and resource planning, managing multiple work streams effectively.
- Demonstrate technical project and team management skills, including planning, organizing, and controlling resources and processes.
- Manage vendor tasks and review vendor deliverables where applicable.
- Lead investigations into high-priority incidents and oversee problem management processes.
- Support HR systems in compliance with incident and problem management processes and SLAs.
- Implement best practices such as ITIL to support systems, processes, and teams.
- Collaborate with IS Security to ensure HR systems are secure and compliant with vulnerability management processes.
- Deliver application service requests and enhancements, managing the full project lifecycle using tools like SAP Solution Manager, JIRA, and Q-test.
- Coordinate with IS teams and business owners for incidents and new projects related to HCM.
- Manage on-call schedules and support escalations outside office hours.
- Ensure compliance with SAP Security (GRC), SOX, and other legal and audit requirements.
- Build a high-performing team and manage stakeholder priorities effectively.
- Plan for the replacement or decommissioning of applications at risk of obsolescence.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in HCM Implementation and Support.
- Extensive experience in Hire to Retire processes, including support and transformation.
- Hands-on configuration, implementation, and support experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA and SuccessFactors preferred.
- Good understanding of SAP modules integrated with HCM (PM, PP, QM, FICO, HR, Basis, Security).
- At least 5 years managing IT project/support teams with increasing responsibilities and stakeholder engagement.
- Understanding of technology-driven product development processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL-based service management processes.
- Knowledge of Information Security standards and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with supported tools/services.
- Knowledge of railway operations is a plus.
