Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Saskatoon Centre is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent to be the first point of contact and first impression for guests. You will check guests in and out efficiently and provide information on hotel services to ensure a smooth stay.

The role emphasizes warm, knowledgeable service and teamwork with other departments to uphold our standards of True Hospitality. Previous front desk experience is preferred, with flexible hours including early mornings, nights, weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year front desk/guest service experience preferred.
• Fluent English required; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner, recognizing IHG Rewards Club Members as well as returning guests
• Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
• Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
• Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
• Routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
• Perform other duties as assigned including guest room tours, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma/Secondary qualification or equivalent
• One-year front desk/guest service experience strongly preferred
• Must speak fluent English (additional languages an asset)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (shifts may vary from 6:00 a.m. start to midnight , including weekends )
