Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Saskatoon Centre is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent to be the first point of contact for guests. You will check guests in and out, provide information on hotel services, and ensure they have a great stay. Strong English communication and a background in front desk work are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• About 1 year of front desk/guest service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Micros Opera is a plus.
• Must speak fluent English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and courteously, record messages and requests.

To deliver a great guest experience a Guest Service Agent will check in and out guests efficiently, and make sure they have all they need for a great stay.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner, recognizing IHG Rewards Club Members as well as returning guests
• Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
• Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
• Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
• Routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
• Perform other duties as assigned including guest room tours, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma/Secondary qualification or equivalent
• One-year front desk/guest service experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Micros Opera preferred
• Must speak fluent English
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (shifts may vary from 6:00 a.m. start to midnight, including weekends)
