Job summary

The Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax, NS is seeking a Guest Services Agent to be the first and last contact for guests, greeting arrivals and assisting with requests to set a welcoming tone for every stay.

You will handle check-ins/check-outs, respond to guest needs, and maintain front desk accuracy and security while working with housekeeping and maintenance teams. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel front desk experience required.
• Proficiency in Marriott front office systems an asset.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Accurate cash handling and payment processing.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately while following brand standards.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, amenities, and local information to assist guests.
• Answer and manage phone calls promptly, transferring as needed and taking messages.
• Handle guest requests, wake-up calls, and other inquiries with urgency and care.
• Keep front desk organized and stocked; collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance.
