Job summary

Thermea Spa Village in Winnipeg, MB seeks a Guest Experience Associate to warmly welcome guests and advise them on the range of thermotherapy services and regional tourism offerings. You will help with reservations, manage payments, and uphold cleanliness across the spa facilities while embodying exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, you will assist guests throughout their visit, handle inquiries, and ensure a smooth flow of spa activities, including saunas,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software is an asset.
• Knowledge of the region and local attractions is an asset.
• Knowledge of the SpaBooker system is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and registers guests in a personalised and professional manner.
• Answers inquiries regarding services and facilities.
• Assists with reservations and maintains customer records; processes various payment methods.
• Maintains par stock of supplies and accessories.
• Maintains cleanliness of the spa, including reception, lobby, pavilions, staff areas, and locker rooms.
• Ensures amenities are maintained to high standards; refreshes lockers and toiletries.
• Communicates daily information to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.
• Listens to customer needs and responds to requests.
• Ensures flow of saunas and may perform spa rituals inside saunas.
• Starts and monitors fire as needed.
• Seasons outdoor tasks (sweeping, raking, shoveling).
• Monitors site capacities; performs related duties.

Job Summary:

Reporting to Guest Experience Manager, the Guest Experience Associate’s primary objective is to welcome, assist and advise customers on the cycle of thermotherapy & the benefits, services and activities of Thermea Spa Village and, more broadly, promotes tourism of the region. The Associate will be held to standards of customer service excellence in order to deliver our distinct service product while acting as an ambassador to our customers and handling, in a courteous, quick and efficient manner, various transactions while ensuring the upkeep of the premises.

• Answers inquiries regarding the services and its facilities;
• Assists with reservations and maintains customer records; process various payment methods;
• Maintains par stock of supplies and accessories;
• Maintains cleanliness of the spa, including reception, lobby, pavilions, staff areas, and locker rooms;
• Ensures that all amenities are maintained to the highest standards;
• Refreshes lockers and refills fresh towels and toiletries;
• Learn and communicate daily information that will ensure customers have a pleasant stay;
• Listen to customer needs and respond to their requests;
• Ensures flow of saunas, and may perform spa rituals inside saunas;
• Tasks related to starting and monitoring fire;
• Seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping, raking and shovelling ;
• Monitors and maintains site capacities;
• Perform other related duties.

Requirements:

• High school diploma;
• One-year experience in customer service; an asset;
• Basic knowledge of Windows based software, an asset;
• Knowledge of the region as well as tourist attractions, an asset;
• Knowledge of the SpaBooker system, an asset;
• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism Management; an asset;
• WHMIS and PHIA Certification; an asset;
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, managers and other associates;
• Be in good physical condition; ability to work outdoors during all months of the year (weather appropriate uniform provided); ability to lift up to 30 lbs.;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor.

Salary is based on the pay scale and benefits in effect at Thermea Spa Village.
