Job summary

Thermea Spa Village Whitby is seeking a dedicated Server for an 18-month contract in Whitby, ON. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver attentive service in a unique wellness setting.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of high-volume serving experience. POS experience and hospitality knowledge are assets; physical stamina is important for long shifts. Compensation includes health benefits and a free thermal experience.

What we need

Reporting to the F&B Management Team, the Server’s main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service, serving guests quickly and efficiently by providing an attentive and unobtrusive service in a unique and memorable dining experience.

What you’ll do

• Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, offer suggestions and take orders;
• Provide fast, efficient and courteous service, ensuring a memorable experience for our guests;
• Prepare and serve beverages, wine and spirits according to established standards;
• Prepare invoices and collects payment;
• Effectively organize, clean and restock service stations and dining areas;
• Perform opening and closing task checklists;
• Perform other related duties.

Profile needed

What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

• High School Diploma;
• Minimum of two (2) year of high volume experience in serving required;
• Diploma in hospitality, an asset;
• Experience with a POS system, an asset;
• Knowledge wine characteristics and pairings, an asset;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to listen to guest needs;
• Positive attitude, autonomy, dynamism and detail-oriented;
• You genuinely care for the wellbeing of others;
• Good physical condition: ability to work long hours on your feet and ability to lift 50lbs (23kg).

When

You will work a varying schedule which requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings holidays.
