Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a Guest Attendant to support residents with daily living and wellness in a caring, on-site role. You will learn residents’ stories and build meaningful relationships while delivering respectful service.

You will assist with meals, grooming, mobility, and activities, helping residents stay independent and engaged in a warm, living environment. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• Safe Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada; pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming as per care plans.
• Answer resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provide courteous service.
• Ensure residents' grooming, dress and personal appearance meet dress code standards.
• Assist with transporting residents to rooms, activities, health office, and dining room.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual support; oral and dental care.
• Complete laundry and light housekeeping duties as assigned.

• Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
• Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments

What you need to know:

• Grade 12 minimum education required
• You have ‘Safe Serve’ designation and one year experience in dining room service
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
