Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a Guest Attendant for a temporary drop shift on the 2nd Wednesday RET. Rate of pay is $20.57 per hour (per CBA). This posting is for an existing position.

At Sienna you will build relationships with residents who call Aspira their home. You will support daily living activities and comfort, while upholding dignity and respect in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• Safe Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities (eating, dressing, hygiene) per care plans.
• Build relationships with residents and their families, offering program options.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from rooms, activities, and dining.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; assist with oral and dental care.
• Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.

As a Guest Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. • Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
• Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
• Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments

What you need to know:

• Grade 12 minimum education required
• You have ‘Safe Serve’ designation and one year experience in dining room service
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
