Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a Guest Attendant for a temporary drop shift. The role involves building meaningful relationships with residents and families, supporting daily living activities and contributing to residents’ health and well-being.

The posted rate is $20.57 CAD per hour under the local collective agreement. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, delivering compassionate, respectful care, and collaborating with the team to ensure residents experience comfort

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• One year experience in dining room service.
• Safe Serve designation is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will build relationships with residents and families, offering support options and enriching daily health and well-being.
• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, dressing, hygiene, grooming) per care plans.
• Respond to resident call bells and door alarms promptly with courteous service.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from rooms, activities, and dining.
• Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; assist oral and dental care.
• Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.

As a Guest Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. • Ensures that residents own personal grooming is appropriate and uniform/dress is clean, tidy and according to dress code
• Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
• Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
• Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments

What you need to know:

• Grade 12 minimum education required
• You have ‘Safe Serve’ designation and one year experience in dining room service
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position
