Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a Guest Attendant for a temporary drop shift. You’ll support residents with daily living activities, meals, and companionship, helping them live with dignity and joy.

This role emphasizes compassionate service, strong communication with residents and families, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. The position operates on a 1st Thursday RET shift with a wage of $20.57 per hour under the applicable

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• Safe Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Sienna may utilize AI to screen applicants.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (eating, dressing, hygiene) as per care plans.
• Answer call bells and respond to alarms promptly.
• Support residents with mobility and transportation to activities and meals.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual support.
• Complete laundry and housekeeping duties per assignments.

As a Guest Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. • Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
• Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments

What you need to know:

• Grade 12 minimum education required
• You have ‘Safe Serve’ designation and one year experience in dining room service
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
