Job summary

goswim.ca is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager in Ottawa to own day-to-day operations, build systems, and lead a growing team. You will manage order fulfillment, inventory, and events while shaping processes and customer experiences across store and Shopify channels.

The role blends hands-on operation with strategic leadership, requiring organizing workloads, solving problems, and driving growth in a small-business environment.

Qualifications

• Full-time, in-person work in Ottawa, including Saturdays.
• Flexibility for occasional events, evenings, weekends and peak season.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience supervising people is strongly preferred.
• Shopify experience, English/French bilingualism and an active/sports background are assets.

Responsibilities

• Daily retail and e-commerce operations, the order queue and the fulfillment schedule.
• Designing, documenting and improving processes, SOPs, checklists and routines.
• Building and maintaining customer relationships across channels (email, phone, SMS, social).
• Leading and training staff, recruiting as we grow.
• Monitoring inventory, coordinating events and vendor relations.
