Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking a Group Reservations Specialist to coordinate conference and group stays, working closely with Sales and Conference Services to ensure flawless execution and memorable guest experiences.

You will handle room blocks, rates, billing, and inventory across Opera Cloud, CRS, and Passkey/GroupMax, while delivering exceptional guest service in a luxury setting. This role offers growth within Accor’s global network.

Qualifications

• 12-month commitment to the role.
• Previous reservations or hotel operations experience is an asset.
• Keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Proficiency in Opera Property Management System (PMS); knowledge of Passkey/GroupMax is an asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Professional presentation and ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends, and the ability to sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all room-related requests and group reservations for events.
• Manage group rooming lists, contracts, rates, billing, and inventory in Opera Cloud, CRS, GroupMax/Passkey.
• Monitor and respond to group inquiries via email, phone, and voicemail promptly.
• Run daily and weekly reports, audit group blocks and pickup, flag discrepancies or inventory concerns.
• Collaborate with Sales, Conference Services, Front Office, Accounting, and Reservations to meet group needs.
