Job summary

PIB Insurance Brokers in Elmira, Ontario is seeking a Group Benefits Program Coordinator to join our team. This role focuses on managing a portfolio of group benefits clients, supporting plan administration and client service with accuracy and professionalism.

You will prepare RFQs, review pricing, assist with renewals and coordinate implementations between clients and carriers. Strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Group Benefits, ideally within a brokerage, consulting or insurance environment.
  • Strong understanding of group benefits administration, plan structures and carrier processes.
  • Previous experience providing client service and administrative support within a group benefits environment.
  • LLQP licensing is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and produce accurate client-facing documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with benefits systems, reporting tools or CRM platforms is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret information and identify issues.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Advisors, clients, carriers and internal teams.
  • You are confident speaking with clients and can build strong relationships through your knowledge, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • You are comfortable moving beyond administration and taking ownership of the client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support an assigned portfolio of group benefits clients, developing a strong understanding of their plans and specific needs.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Plan Administrators, Advisors and clients, responding to questions and resolving service and administrative issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the ongoing administration and servicing of a block of business, ensuring client needs and service requirements are addressed.
  • Prepare Request for Quote (RFQ) and marketing documents for new prospects and other group benefits opportunities.
  • Request and review pricing for plan changes and prepare amendment documentation and client-facing materials.
  • Prepare renewal presentations and supporting materials for the block and other assigned clients.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new groups, plan changes and amendments between clients and insurance carriers, ensuring all required information and documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain accurate client records, plan information and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, analyses and other materials to support client meetings, renewals and internal business needs.
  • Assist with reporting, data analysis and ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance the client experience and support overall team objectives.
