Programmed Insurance Brokers Inc. (PIB) in Atlantic Canada seeks a Wealth Advisor/Financial Planner to grow an existing client portfolio with business owners and professionals, delivering planning-based guidance across investments, insurance and retirement planning.

Working with PIB’s investment and estate planning specialists, you will provide practical advice, build long-term relationships, and expand PIB’s wealth management footprint while maintaining high compliance and exceptional client

Qualifications

• 5+ years of wealth management, financial planning, banking or related financial services environment.
• Strong client relationship and business development skills.
• Consultative sales approach and ability to identify client opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, retain and grow an existing portfolio of wealth management, life insurance and financial planning clients.
• Build trusted, long-term client relationships through a planning-based approach.
• Conduct regular client reviews and proactive outreach, including investment, insurance and retirement planning.
• Develop Retirement Income Roadmaps and customized financial plans.
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and develop new client relationships.
• Provide investment and financial planning advice, including wealth and insurance solutions.
• Support business development through referrals, networking, seminars, client events and Centres of Influence.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations and financial planning recommendations.
• Collaborate with PIB’s Investment & Estate Planning specialists and other advisors on complex client needs.
• Work with Client Care Team to deliver high-quality client experience.
• Maintain knowledge of industry developments, markets, products and regulatory requirements.
• Meet sales, service and client retention objectives with high compliance and professionalism.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

PIB is looking for a Wealth Advisor / Financial Planner to join our growing Wealth Management team in Atlantic Canada. This role is ideal for a client-focused professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, providing practical financial advice and identifying opportunities to help clients achieve their investment, insurance and retirement goals.

You will support and grow an existing client portfolio, with a particular focus on business owners and professionals, while helping expand PIB’s wealth management footprint. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will have access to investment, insurance and estate planning expertise to support more complex client needs.

RESPONSIBILIES:

• Manage, retain and grow an existing portfolio of wealth management, life insurance and financial planning clients.
• Build trusted, long-term client relationships through a planning-based approach.
• Conduct regular client reviews and proactive outreach, including investment, insurance and retirement planning.
• Develop Retirement Income Roadmaps and customized financial plans.
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and develop new client relationships.
• Provide investment and financial planning advice, including appropriate wealth and insurance solutions.
• Support business development through referrals, networking, seminars, client events and Centres of Influence.

• Collaborate with PIB’s Investment & Estate Planning specialists, Chief Investment Officer and other advisors on complex client needs.
• Work closely with the Client Care Team to deliver a high-quality client experience.
• Maintain strong knowledge of industry developments, investment markets, products and regulatory requirements.
• Meet established sales, service and client retention objectives while maintaining a high standard of compliance and professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, banking or a related financial services environment.
• Strong client relationship and business development skills.
• A consultative approach to sales and the ability to identify and act on client opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of investments, financial planning and insurance.
• Excellent organization, time management and follow-through.
• Professional, confident and comfortable working with business owners and high-value clients.
• Mutual fund licensing and applicable provincial Life Insurance licensing required.
• CFP, CLU or other professional designations are considered an asset.
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with advisors, partner firms, and carrier partners.
