Job summary

Executive Aviation in London, Ontario is hiring Ground Handlers for our Below the Wing team at London International Airport (YXU). We offer part-time and full-time roles with a wage range of 18.40–21.45 CAD per hour and flight benefits with the airlines we support.

Candidates must be flexible for early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays, able to stand and lift up to 70 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Ability to work shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand, lift up to 70 lbs/32 kg, bend, crouch, kneel, and push/pull.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must wear safety gear: steel-toe boots, reflective vest, hearing protection.
• Must obtain Transport Canada Restricted Area pass, criminal background check, and a valid driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with Transport Canada rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found.
• Groom aircraft – clean cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Groom's aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
