Job summary

Executive Aviation is seeking part-time Ground Handlers for Sault Ste. Marie to support the Below the Wing team. You will work under a Shift Lead and help ensure smooth ground operations for airlines.

The role offers progressive wage ranges with potential for growth, starting at $18.25/hour. Benefits include health coverage for all staff and flight benefits with partner airlines.

Qualifications

• Shift work including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push/pull for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs/32 kg.
• Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must wear safety gear: steel toe boots, reflective vest, hearing protection.
• Must obtain Transport Canada Restricted Area pass, pass criminal background check, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Follow Transport Canada rules and procedures.
• Operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Load and unload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver baggage to claim area and unload.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas and remove debris.
• Groom aircraft interiors and restock supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings , days, late evenings and weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
