Job summary

Executive Aviation in Sault Ste Marie, ON is hiring part-time Ground Handlers to support Below the Wing operations. You’ll be part of a dedicated Shift Lead-driven team and help ensure ground procedures are performed safely and efficiently.

The role offers a starting wage of $18.25 per hour, health benefits for part- and full-time staff, and flight benefits with the airlines we serve. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and varying weather is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push/pull for extended periods.
• Willing to work outside in all types of weather.
• Must wear safety gear – steel toe boots, reflective vest, and hearing protection.
• Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
• Criminal background check required
• Hold a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed per Transport Canada rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and dispose of as needed
• Groom aircraft – clean cabin, galleys, and lavatories
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings and weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
