Job summary

Executive Aviation in Saskatoon is hiring Ground Handlers at the Saskatoon Airport (YXE). This role reports to a Shift Lead who supports you and helps you grow within the team.

You will be part of a dynamic aviation environment dedicated to safety and customer service. We offer progressive wage ranges starting at $18.15/hour, comprehensive health benefits for all staff, and fantastic flight benefits with the airlines we support.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work shift work including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32 kg.
• Must wear safety gear: steel-toe boots, reflective vest, hearing protection.
• Criminal background check and Transport Canada security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow Transport Canada procedures and airline rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshal/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove when found.
• Groom aircraft and restock cabin with supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft - clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear - steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver's license and a clean drivers abstract
