Job summary

Executive Aviation in Hamilton is hiring for a Ground Handler to support airline partners and provide ground service throughout shifts. You will contribute to safe ground operations, assist with baggage handling, and ensure timely services for arriving and departing aircraft.

As part of our team, you will receive paid training and flight benefits with partner airlines. The role reports to the Ground Handler Lead and requires physical stamina and flexibility to work early mornings, days,

Qualifications

• Willingness to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, push and pull for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed per Transport Canada rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose when found.
• Groom aircraft – clean cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock supplies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Groom aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, push and pull for extended periods of time
• A valid driver's license and clear drivers abstract
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
