Position Overview

Food World Plus is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Operations Manager to lead operations for our 176,000 sq. ft. high-volume grocery store. This role is responsible for overseeing all grocery retail functions including fresh departments, center store, front-end operations, inventory control, staffing, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong grocery retail experience who can drive operational excellence, maximize profitability, and deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all grocery departments including Produce, Meat, Dairy, Deli, Bakery, Frozen, Dry Grocery, Non-Food, and Front-End
• Lead and manage department managers and a large team (100+ employees)
• Drive sales growth, gross margin, and overall store profitability
• Monitor shrink, waste control, and inventory turnover
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all regulatory standards
• Develop staffing plans, scheduling, and labor cost control strategies
• Maintain high merchandising standards and promotional execution
• Analyze sales reports, KPIs, and financial data to improve performance
• Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate purchasing agreements
• Resolve customer concerns and ensure exceptional customer service standards
