Job summary

Hydro One is seeking a senior operations leader to oversee station services across a regional area. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering reliable power delivery to communities in Ontario.

The role requires extensive experience in protection and control, and leadership in a unionized environment. You will develop programs, coordinate commissioning, and maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned zone.

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of electrical theory and protection & control systems.
• Extensive leadership experience managing diverse staff and union relations.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and business case development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to staff across multiple worksites.
• Plan, organize and schedule work to meet unit priorities.
• Allocate resources and monitor progress to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Lead HR/labour relations activities, including interviewing and staffing decisions.
• Develop and oversee annual safety programs and incident investigations as required.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and standards for station equipment and commissioning.
