Job summary

Bartlett is seeking an Elevator Operator in Somerset, MB. This hands-on role involves grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading, with a focus on maintaining safe facilities and equipment for all Team Members.

We offer a full-time schedule, 1st shift, with overtime as needed including weekends. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, profit sharing, and RRSP, plus PPE and boot vouchers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
• Available to work overtime and weekends.
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications).
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading of grain; monitor stored grain condition.
• Maintain and clean grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for Team Members.
• Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

The Basics

Location: Somerset, MB

Compensation: $20.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift, 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
